Reynolds, Unit Director and Director of Dialysis and Hemodialysis at St. Francis Hospital, as one of our Top 101 Outstanding Professionals of 2017, representing the health care administration community. St. Francis Hospital is a non-profit hospital in Columbus, Georgia. It is the only hospital in that area that offers open heart surgery. William’s responsibilities include, supervising medical-surgical renal, chemotherapy and stroke nursing, ensuring staff members remain accredited, clinical duties and serves as preceptor for students. He also manages contract nurses and ensures that equipment and water are safe to use for treatments.

William D. Reynolds has been working in the healthcare field for more than 18 years. He has also served in the military for 30 years. He has served in the National Guard for 20 years. He was deployed to Kuwait during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005. When he left the army, he was a Sergeant and is now chief warrant officer. While he was in the military, he tool master fitness and combat lifesavers courses and gained an interest in health care.

William D. Reynolds received his Associate of Science in Nursing from Southern Union State Community College in 1995. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Troy University. He holds many certifications, such as basic life support, advanced cardiovascular life support, water treatment in nephrology and medical-surgical nursing. In the near future, he hopes to achieve his Master of Science in Nursing.
