Mr. Wasserman is a Consultant at the New York City Economic Development Corporation, a not-for-profit corporation that promotes economic growth across New York City’s five boroughs.  In addition, he is an adjunct professor at Brooklyn Law School, located in New York, NY. Mr. Wasserman received his B.A. from Columbia University, Jewish Theological Seminary LL.B. and went on to receive his JD, at Brooklyn Law School to pursue the legal aspects of urban planning and development. Upon graduation, he served as a law clerk in the Southern District for quite some time. He then moved on to the Law Department, and became schooled in the art of public and private real estate transactions. In 1985, he was named Chief of the Economic Development Division. The mission of the Economic Development Division is to advance the practice and state of the art of economic development by increasing the understanding of economic development as a key element of public policy formulation at all levels of government, promoting economic development as a critical element of neighborhood community, regional, and national planning processes, and disseminating materials and information about current economic development practice and theory to members of the division. Since then, Mr. Wasserman has continued to support City Hall in its pursuit of its economic development goals. Mr. Wasserman has served the Law Department for at least 10 years and was recognized for consistently demonstrating the superior achievement and dedication that defines a distinguished career. Mr. Wasserman was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry, and is a Martindale-Hubbell AV-Preeminent Rated attorney. As an avocation, Mr. Wasserman also enjoys sharing his accumulated knowledge of Talmud and other Jewish texts and liturgy by leading small study groups of his peers at his synagogue and elsewhere. In an effort to give back to one of the fine institutions that have helped him successfully navigate his path through life. Mr. Wasserman currently celebrates 43 years in the legal field. He uses all his knowledge and skills he has gained over the years sharing it with his students at Brooklyn Law School, as well as with the dedicated employees of the New York City Economic Development.
